The Planning Policy team deal with the local plan, Local
Development Framework (LDF) and other planning policy

Local Plan
· West Lancashire Replacement Local Plan (2006).
This is the current adopted local plan for the District.
· Supplementary planning guidance notes provide
extra detail on certain policies within the local plan.
Local Development Framework
· Local Development Framework (LDF). The LDF is a
set of documents that will eventually replace the Local
Plan.
Latest planning policy news
· Consultation on planning policy
documents. Find out what we are consulting on and
how you can join our consultation database.
· Residential development policy. Discover
how we are treating our housing policy (the "moratorium")
in light of recent developments.
· Housing and employment land studies ('call for
sites'). Check progress on these important
studies, which are looking at how much potential land we
have to meet future needs.
